The Assistant

Yesterdays photo was taken at Lützhøfts Købmandgård. Here is Reholt, who told he was assistant and the man who also told the others what to do. I tasted a salt herring (se below), but - sorry - didn't buy a beer. At the third photo you see the salt herrings in the shop. One would cost 20 kr. I will be back to buy one some day. I hope you visit this part of Roskilde Museum next time you are in Roskilde!

Salt herrings was earlier eaten morning and midday in many danish homes. It was cheap, I guess.

John Plays the Hurdy-Gurdy

Yesterday we had Tourisms Day in Denmark. You could play tourist in your own municipality. In the coming days I will show what I saw. Here is John playing at a Hurdy-Gurdy (in danish drejelire). John is manager of a branch of Roskilde Museum called Lützhøfts Købmandsgård.

Today it was possible for children in Roskilde to get a feeling of being a fire-engine-driver.

Rain in Roskilde

Today its raining and cold (9 degrees Celsius) in Roskilde. Maybe the man under the umbrella is dreaming of Spain. The text in danish says "Spain. All under the sun".

Spring Flowers in Roskilde

Highest point in Denmark - a bridge.

Very early yesterday I was crossing Storebælt - the sea between Sealand and Fuen. The 16 km. long bridge was shot by Torben from Roskilde with my camera, and here you see the highest point in Denmark, some 50 m higher than the highest "mountain".

Salløv

You might have seen a similar photo of Salløv earlier - now the scene has changed. At the moment the plant agersennep (field-mustard??) is flowering and is very yellow, nearly too much.

Dandelions

These days we have lot of dandelions at some places. Here in front of a company, bbbyg, making industrial buildings.

Someone may have thought the train at Gadstrup station today was too grey.

I was not aware of the position of the camera, but the result reminds me of the Tenin Tecjnique.

Denmark - and Roskilde - is a bicycling nation with too many cars.

At many placed - like this one Hos Inge - in Denmark you can buy Hot Dogs etc. This kind of fast food is still popular.

Everning red gave morning wet

The red evening and the wet morning - as seen at the illustration of late nights sky and the same motive now - was the weather here few hours apart.

The temperature is 5 degrees celsius this morning. The winter without snow is still here - called green winter.

Swans in Ramsødalen

Last time I visited the birdstower in Ramsødalen, two swans - the Danish nationel bird - was noticed. One is at the nest - hope to see the small swans later.

Yesterday the spring colors was as seen at the image. The trees are growing at the beginning of Ramsødalen in Gadstrup.

Sky at Marielyst, Falster

Sometimes I leave the municipality of Roskilde for a short holiday. A month ago I had a weekend in Ribe, now I have been a little week at Falster (an island), Marienlyst. The weather was as seen at the photo shot a cold evening. Sometimes the sun was shining, other times the rain was raining. But - the weather is not the problem, the clothing is if not appropriate according to temperature and wind.
